Suvija Rajeesh is a compassionate and skilled Psychologist with extensive experience in both clinical and community mental health settings. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Psychology, holds an M.A. in Clinical Psychology, and is also completing a Diploma in Managing Learning Disabilities (DMLD) along with an Advanced Certified Skill Diploma in Psychosexual Counselling. With specialized expertise in adolescent counseling, learning backwardness, and family therapy, she is dedicated to promoting emotional well-being and psychological resilience through evidence-based therapeutic approaches. She has served as a Consultant Psychologist at the Government After Care Home and Government Children’s Home, Vellimadukunnu, where she provided trauma-informed care for children and adolescents under state protection through developmental screenings, emotional and behavioral interventions, and therapy sessions. As a Resource Person for the Jilla Panchayath Project, she has delivered psychoeducational training programs in schools and community organizations focusing on adolescent mental health, life skills, and resilience, and through the Souhrida Club Initiative, she has conducted structured sessions for school-going adolescents on emotional awareness, exam stress management, peer relationships, and self-esteem enhancement. Her academic contributions include the publication of three research papers—A Study of Personality Traits and Internet Addiction among High School Students in Calicut City, Kerala, India; A Relationship between Internet Usage Prevalence, Family Dynamics, and Adolescents’ Resilience: A Comprehensive Review; and Understanding Youth Alcoholism: Examining the Severity of Dependence and Psychotherapeutic Interventions—in addition to several Malayalam articles on adolescent mental health and the importance of counseling. Fluent in Malayalam and English, Suvija continues to guide children, adolescents, families, and individuals toward healthier emotional growth and stronger psychological well-being.
